The Girl with the Lost Smile

Until one night, something utterly magical happens – and Chloe finds herself on an adventure that is out of this world …
With fabulous illustrations by Sainsbury’s Book of the Year winner, Kate Hindley, THE GIRL WITH THE LOST SMILE takes you on an action-packed, magical journey that celebrates the power of the imagination, the wonder of true friendship and is guaranteed to make you smile.

It was love at first sight nine years ago and today they are inseparable. No one has been more surprised than Miranda herself that it’s been her wonder dog who has taught her the best and wisest life lessons, taken her on hilarious adventures and become her smart talking but utterly loyal and loveable best friend. And Miss Peggy herself might just make an appearance on the night.

#AndMe: Miranda Hart’s cute pooch Peggy is her best friend – and she wants to hear about yours!
Dogs help us in so many ways – they give us an excuse to get fresh air, are always there as a small shoulder to cry on and, crucially, they don’t answer back.
Someone who knows this very well is Miranda Hart, who has an adorable canine friend called Peggy.
The shih tzu–bichon frise cross spends her time at Ms Hart’s side, supporting her through thick and thin – and she even has her own Twitter account with over 4,500 followers.
She truly is the comedian and writer’s best friend – and Ms Hart wants to hear about yours!
New Book: Peggy & Me – OCTOBER 2016!
Following the success of the Sunday Times Number One Christmas bestseller Is It Just Me? Hodder & Stoughton are delighted to announce the acquisition of a new book by Miranda.
In Peggy and Me, Miranda will write about her day-to-day life and adventures with her faithful dog Peggy as well as sharing their joint observations on life. The huge success of her first book shows just what a national treasure Miranda is and how eagerly her fans will await the next slice of her take on life – with invaluable contributions from the irresistible Peggy.
Miranda’s editor, Hannah Black, says: ‘Miranda is loved by so many. But as the saying goes, behind every great woman stands a very small and opinionated dog. We’re absolutely delighted at Hodder that Peggy has finally agreed to join her mistress and put paw to paper.’
Miranda herself says: ‘I am so thrilled to have the chance to write a second book and look forward to sharing the comic trials and tribulations I have encountered with the wonderful gift that is dog ownership. I hope it Isn’t Just Me on this one too. Peggy has already changed with fame and is currently lying on a chaise with a gin in her paw saying “don’t worry reader, I’ll mainly write this one and will dish the dirt on my ridiculous owner”’.’
Gordon Wise at Curtis Brown says: ‘Peggy is very particular about who she works with, but after a lot of persuasion agreed with Miranda and me that Hodder were the right publishers for a book about which she feels so passionately.’
Miranda: The Complete Boxset
A box set containing every single episode of Miranda from the first to third series plus the finale has now been released.
As well as all the episodes, the box set contains behind the scenes features as well as the interviews that originally appeared on the BBC Red Button during the second series.
Miranda Hart releases an exclusive DVD featuring brand new comedy sketches together with fitness routines.
Miranda Hart is to bring her unique brand of comedy and tom-foolery to fitness, with the release of never-seen-before comedy and fitness DVD Miranda Hart’s Maracattack, which is exclusive to DVD and Digital Download to Own. It’s the first time the incredibly popular entertainer has issued a DVD and Digital only release, which will be available on 18th November 2013.
This is a DVD with a difference. Miranda Hart’s Maracattack is an authentic fitness routine but one that is wholly unique, and skilfully combines exercise and comedy. Viewers will be laughing as they exercise.
Miranda says “Maracattack is based on one key concept. Fun. For fitness should be fun. Bear with as I coin a compound word – Funness. You will want to exercise. It’s about playing, not ‘working out’ and play helps your body, but also frees your mind. Without giving too much away, it involves maracas, classic pop tunes, and is as much fun as a riotous camp, cheesy disco. There is no need to dread the gym anymore.”
And for those who love their comedy, the DVD features brand new sketches where Miranda will be joined by friends Patricia Hodge, Sarah Hadland and Tom Ellis, as well as an unmissable guest appearance from Kirstie Allsopp.
Miranda’s co-host on the DVD is fitness expert Amelia Watts. The DVD includes a warm-up, 20-minute cardio session, a 5-minute high intensity cardio routine and 10-minute strength exercises for arms, core, legs and bums. During each workout Miranda and Amelia will work at different levels, so viewers can follow either depending on their own ability. Miranda’s friends Sarah Hadland and Tom Ellis also join her for some of the programmes. Some of Miranda’s favourite feel-good tunes provide the soundtrack to the routines, including songs from Kylie, Take That and the Monkees. With Maracattack, Miranda has created a great comedy DVD as well as a new exercise concept that is perfect for those new to fitness or for those with more experience. It’s the new craze waiting to happen.
Fiona Eastwood, Director BBC Worldwide Consumer Products said “We are thrilled that Miranda has chosen to release her first comedy fitness DVD with us. This will be the perfect Christmas gift for Miranda’s many fans, whilst also providing a great workout for those who have never considered using a keep-fit DVD before.”
